Dune: Part 2 - Environment Work

I spent a little over a year on 'Dune: Part Two' with the team at DNEG in Vancouver. It was my first time stepping into the role of a Hard Surface Model Lead, looking after all vehicles and a few environments. I couldn’t have asked for a cooler project to jump into that position. A special shoutout to everyone at DNEG, and especially to my modeling team.

I contributed modeling work to several environments, some of which were large team efforts that involved close collaboration with the environment department.

Arrakeen Trench: I built the primary model. An additional dressing pass was done by Andrew Hodgson.
The shot also passes by a hero building I originally modeled for Part One, which I updated with the Harkonnen infection tech.

Arrakeen Night Market: Responsible for modeling.

Spice Depot: A shared effort with Michael Chang, who handled most of the asset. I contributed the front half of the main building (part with the arcs) and rejoined later for UV support.

Arrakeen City – Harkonnen Infection: I handled the Residence area and worked on additional buildings throughout the city.
